Technology
The development and production of phase change materials (PCM) requires extensive knowledge of chemical and thermodynamic processes. We have specialized in high-performance and cost-efficient salt hydrates for many years - starting at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and continuously developing them in our own laboratory in Root and in cooperation with the EPFL. For over five years, we have been researching, analyzing and optimizing new materials specifically to meet the requirements of our customers.

Storage thanks to phase change
The key to maximum storage capacity lies in the use of Cowa phase change materials. These absorb large amounts of energy during the melting process, store it without loss and release it again during the solidification process. Cowa develops and produces materials at various temperature levels in order to offer a wide range of applications from buffer storages to domestic hot water and combined solutions.

System integration
From phase change materials and heat transfer to dimensionally stable housings, we work with our customers to develop the heat accumulators of the future. Our expertise, from simulation to the implementation of production processes, enables us to develop the best solutions for your customer-specific application.
