How it works
Surplus PV electricity or particularly cheap grid electricity (often at midday) activates the heat pump, which stores energy in the Cowa COMPACT Cell - both for heating and for hot water. When required, the stored energy is efficiently released into the building. All leading manufacturers are now exploiting the potential of the combination of heat pump and photovoltaics. Our Cowa COMPACT Cell is designed so that it can be easily combined with most heat pumps available on the market.

Already arrived in the future
The future of flexible electricity prices is here. Manufacturers are gearing up for this new era by developing intelligent control systems that allow heat pumps to be operated precisely when the electricity price is attractive. But these advanced systems need a crucial partner: thermal storage. The Cowa COMPACT Cell is proving to be an indispensable key component for future-proof energy systems by providing the flexibility and efficiency needed to respond to fluctuating electricity prices.

Environmentally and budget-friendly
The heat pump combined with a photovoltaic system is the most cost-effective and environmentally friendly way of heating. The additional storage capacity of the Cowa COMPACT Cell further enhances this effect. Thanks to the increased self-consumption, CO2 emissions are also prevented and energy costs are reduced.
